infinity war

How does the movie explore the idea/theme of sacrifice?  I've watched this movie when it came to theaters and I thought it was such a good movie. I believe this movie shows sacrifice because you have to go through a loss or a hard point in life in order to succeed in life. Are there different kinds of sacrifice in the movie?  Yes, there was Thanos who sacrificed his adopted daughter in order to gain something for himself, but the members of avengers sacrificed their lives in order to save the universe.  What role does it play in the movie?  Sacrifice plays a main role in this movie. If there was no sacrifice the movie definitely wouldn't be as good and the theme would be very confusing. What impact does it have on the characters? Showing sacrifice in each of the characters shows that they all have a soft spot and makes the viewer feel like they know more about the character. Like how Thanos had to sacrifice something that he loved in order to get the soul stone. He

the matrix pt 2

1. In the film Neo was told that people could not accept total happiness; that people expected a certain amount of misery and suffering. Do you believe this to be true? Why or why not?  This could be true because a lot of people always look at the negative even though something really good is going on.  2. The movie seems to make a number of religious references – particularly to Christianity. Consider the following: Neo was referred to as “The One.” Was he a Christ-figure? Why or why not? What are some of the parallels?  He might be a crest figure but I feel he might have just been the most powerful person in the Matrix. I don't know anything about christ so I don't know how they could be the same. Just that they are both not fully human. 3. Trinity refers to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. What did the character Trinity represent in the film? Could the Oracle represent God? Yes it could because they both know everything Who might Morpheus repre

the matrix

1. What is The Matrix? Why does it exist?  The matrix is a computerized dream world. It exists because the machines are taking over and they needed to make a world for the humans so they could take over the real world. 2. Why did Morpheus and his followers consider The Matrix evil? What analogies and similarities can you find to other situations or stories? Be sure to consider the roles of technology in today’s world (i.e. the Internet, bank cards, satellites, etc.). They might think that the Matrix is evil because they decided everything in your life. It is like our world because the government chooses what we can or cannot do. The internet also decides somethings like how they plant things in our mind and shows us what is right and what is wrong.  3. The movie raises questions about reality. Morpheus states that, “reality is merely electrical signals interpreted by the brain. Your mind makes it real.” Is it possible for people to have different views of reality? What sc

inception pt 3

Would you give up the ability to dream normally if it meant that you could share dreams like they do in this film? Why or why not? Yes I would give up normal dreaming if I could share a dream like they do. I feel like the way we dream isn't fully like reality In some ways yes we may feel it was real, but if you really think about it we never really dream in detail, at least not me. but the way that they dream is pretty cool because you get to chose where you want to go if you are the creator of the dream. But i also like how we dream tho because it's something that just happens that we can't control so we never  know what we are going to dream. I also would be scared of diving in my dream because I don't want to die in real life.
